It is normal for grease to expand and can push out through the O-ring on the Bearing Buddy # BB2441T-SS.
When you drive with the trailer, heat is created on the bearings as well as transferred into the hub from the brakes. As the parts heat up the steel and grease will expand. If your hub is packed full of grease it has to have somewhere to go so it pushes itself out through the O-ring.
