In order to carry heavy e bikes, you will need a 2" hitch bike rack that can carry up to 60lb bikes. My recommendation is the RockyMounts MonoRail 2 Bike Platform Rack - 2" Hitches - Tilting - Wheel Mount, part # RKY10004. This bike rack is not very heavy, only weighing 38lbs. Your Pedego Boomerang will be held by the wheels, securing the bike without damaging the frame of the bike. You will be able to access the rear of the vehicle with the tilt down mast. It works whether empty or carrying bikes. The rack comes with a hitch pin that eliminates movement between the bike rack and the hitch receiver. It comes with a hitch and cable locks, so your rack is locked to the vehicle and your bikes are locked to the rack.
