Since your 1987 GMC C/K 1500 Long Bed 2WD has the stock size spare tire, it can be reinstalled after installing the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C14082.
If you are looking to tow a trailer with your truck you will also need a vehicle wiring harness # C55312 and a ball mount, hitch ball, and hitch pin and clip which can be found in the etrailer Ball Mount Kit # 989900.
