Question:

My 2019 Mazda CX-9 has a 4 pin male plug. I have already installed a 2inch Class III trailer hitch. I am looking to purchase a 2,500 pound camper with electric brakes. I have been looking at your site and am a bit confused. : Please advise what exactly from a wiring/brake/controller etc....should I purchase. Many thanks!

The only thing you need to convert the 4-way trailer connector on a 2019 Mazada CX-9 to a 7-way trailer connector is an adapter and the actual brake controller to control the brakes. For this, I recommend the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller part # ETBC7L and the Curt Echo Mobile Brake Controller part # C51180. This setup is a bit less cost effective then some more conventional setups but it also is much easier to install and does not require any splicing into the vehicle.
