Are Ends of Rhino Rack HD Crossbars Tapered or are they Trimmable

hi, do the ends of the crossbars taper off? Wondering if I can cut the cross bars to a different length

There are end caps on the Rhino-Rack Roof Rack for Thule and Yakima Tracks - 2 Heavy-Duty Crossbars # Y01-140B-NT that are tapered but the actual bar itself is not tapered so if you really wanted to cut them shorter you certainly could.
