The Curt # C72CR ball platform for the Rebellion XD will NOT fit on a weight distribution shank, as the channel isn't wide enough. The channel is about 1-1/2 inches wide, while a standard weight distribution shank is 2 inches in width.
Adding a ball platform to a weight distribution shank isn't going to provide you with any shock absorbing features like the Curt # C83WR Rebellion XD adjustable ball mount offers. The Rebellion XD does an excellent job isolating the tow vehicle from the chucking, banging and rattling typically experienced while towing.
A locking pin set is also available as part # IR47FR.
