how to adjust closing fit on Thule 490010. It sticks out in front.

The Thule HideAway Awning # TH490010 is not going to close completely flush. That is because of the way the legs fold up into the channel and the front slot that allows you to use add on accessories such as the Sun Blocker G2 Side Panel for HideAway Awning # TH307278. I have included a couple picture of what the awning looks like closed up.
