Is There A Way To Determine The Key Code For A Bauer Products Entry Door Lock
Updated 05/22/2023 | Published 05/19/2023 >
Question:
We have a BA64FR lock on our 2022 Forest River Forester and received no DBinch deadbolt key from the dealer. They cant tell us what the key number is for the DB from their records. The latch key does NOT work in the DB key slot so I assume they are keyed differently. How do I determine what the key number is for the DB lock? Im assuming if I remove the BA64FR lock assembly from the door the key number will be labeled inside. Is this correct or is there another way to determine the correct key number? Thanks for your help!

Entry door locks, like the Bauer Products # BA64FR, typically will have a sticker on the inner handle portion that sits inside your RV, but I have installed a few where they also have the key code on a sticker on the inner components of the handle. Other than actually trying each key code there isn't another way to determine the code if the stickers are missing. If there's a serial number for the lock then you could try reaching out to Bauer Products to see if they have any sort of database to see what the lock code is.
