Do You Recommend the Malone Hanger 3 or the Malone Runway 3 for My 2021 Hyundai Elantra?

Question:

I have 2021 Hyundai Elantra with what looks to be a trickyinch back end. Want an over the trunk rack and these two seem the best based on your website. Want to confirm that you think that they would work with the Elantra and your recommendation. I am hesitant to try the hitch because of the expense and the need for removing the bumper etc. Thanks for your help.

Our installation team here at etrailer have confirmed that both the Malone Hanger 3 # MPG2139 and the Malone Runway 3 # MPG2142 will fit on your 2021 Hyundai Elantra. With that being said, I would recommend the Hanger 3 over the Runway 3 for two main reasons. The first reason is that the extra top bar of the Hanger 3 will give you more stabilization and security of the rack during transport. Secondly, the Hanger 3 comes with an integrated cable lock that will deter the theft of your bikes from the rack itself. In order to protect the rack from being stolen, I recommend the Thule Passive Security Strap # TH533.
