Question:
I need to know what I need to add to my vehicle so that I can pull a bass tracker boat trailer with brakes. The vehicle is a 2019 Nissan Rogue sl awd with a tow package. It only has the flat 4 pin for towing like a utility trailer right now.

We've got just what you're looking for, and in order to tow a trailer with brakes you'll need a brake controller and a 7 way connection on your 2019 Nissan Rogue. For the 7-way connector I recommend using the 7-Way RV Upgrade Kit for Trailer Brake Controller Installation - 12 Gauge Wires # ETBC7L, which will use your Rogue's existing 4 way to provide you with the additional functions required to activate your trailer's brakes. The # ETBC7L is designed to be used with wireless brake controllers and I do recommend going the wireless route since using a wired brake controller would require hard-wiring into the vehicle and running a brake output circuit back the 7 way; if you wanted a wired controller then you'd want to use the # ETBC7.
With all of that said, the wireless controller I recommend using is the Curt Echo Mobile # C51180, which is controlled by any Bluetooth enabled smartphone running Android 4.4 or newer/ iOS 8.0 or newer. The Echo plugs into your vehicle 7 way, and then the trailer 7 way plugs into that, so it's super easy to use and provides you with responsive, proportional braking for your Tracker boat trailer.
I've linked some review and installation videos of these parts for you to check out as well.
