We can help you out here, and while I was unable to find the exact tire size that came on a 1997 Starcraft Meteorite 817, it's pretty easy to determine exactly what you need. All you need to do is take a look at the tire that is currently on the trailer, and on the sidewall you should see the tire size directly on it. I have added a photo below of an example.
Based on the size of your trailer, an educated guess is that you have 12 inch wheels, and if so, either 4.80-12 or 5.30-12 tires. If so, the correct tires for that size are the following:
- Taskmaster 4.80R12 Radial Trailer Tire # TT48012C
- Taskmaster 5.30R12 Radial Trailer Tire # TT53012C
Both are load range C tires with a capacity of 990 lbs per tire for the 4.80R12 and 1,050 lbs per tire for the 5.30R12. I have added links below to video reviews of these tires, as well as a link below to our entire selection of trailer tires should you need a different size.
