CAN THE ROADMASTER BASE PLATE WORK WITH A 10K REESE TOW BAR.

The Roadmaster base plates, # 521434-1, will work with a Reese tow bar as long as it is Reese model 74950 and you use adapter # RM-025 with quick disconnects # RM-201. If it is a different model tow bar then it will not work. based on my research I found that the compatible Reese tow bar is only rated for 5,000 pounds so it is not likely the base plates will be compatible.

For a compatible tow bar you can use the Tracker # RM-020 and you will also need the quick disconnects # RM-201. You will also need safety cables like # RM-643.

You will need a lighting solution as well. I recommend the Hopkins harness # HM56204 with extension # RM-300150-00. It just plugs in line with the vehicle tail lights.

Last, most states now require supplemental braking on the vehicle being flat towed. The easiest system to set up and use is the Even Brake # RM-9400 proportional system. It applies the Libertys brakes in proportion to how much the tow vehicle is braking. This is the safest way to stop and it reduces wear and tear on both vehicles.
