Question:

I read the external height is 11, internal 8 1/2. Is there anywhere in this that a 23x27x10inch box will fit?

I have a solution for you, but the Inno Wedge 660 Rooftop Cargo Box # INBRM660WH does indeed have an internal height of only 8-1/2", so your 10" tall box will not fit unfortunately. I recommend looking into the Inno Box 2020 Rooftop Cargo Box - 14 cu ft - Matte Black # IN86FR which has inside dimensions of 72" long, 25-5/8" wide, and 12-3/4" tall.

Keep in mind this box requires a hatch clearance of at least 12" and crossbar spread of 24" - 39". The hatch clearance is the distance from the center of the rear crossbar to the line where the roof and trunk meet. Crossbar spread is the distance between crossbars, measuring from the center of each bar.
