Question:
We have two 10foot fishing kayaks. We purchased two Jay Low roof racks from you guys last fall but just now able to start using them... We have found the kayaks are too heavy for us to lift onto our Jeep and into the racks. We arentfoot tall enough either. Any recommendations? We have Thule AeroBlade crossbars?

Expert Reply:
If you have the Thule Aeroblade crossbars, I recommend the Rhino-Rack Universal Load Assist - Crossbar Mount - Side Loading - 132 lbs # RR-RUSL. The Universal Load Assist will allow you to easily raise your kayaks to the top of your vehicle's roof rack. Even though the Universal Load Assist is not designed to work with J-style carriers, you can strategically load the kayaks on the rack first, install the Yakima JayLow # Y04073, and then load the kayaks onto the JayLow. I went ahead and attached a picture of the Load Assist being used with a similar J-style carrier as the Jay Low.
