Question:
How do I get the harness through the Curt bracket? I assume I have to take the plug apart? How?

There are screws on the back of the TorkLift Wiring Harness Extension # TLW6021 as you can see in the photo that I included. You will need to loosen the screw that pinches down on the wire to hold it in place. Then you will be able to remove the screws located near the mount plate to gain access to the wiring. It is a good idea to take several pictures and to write down what color wire goes to which terminal before removing the wires.
Once you have removed the wires you can attach the Curt Mounting Bracket # C67UR to the 7way connector and reinstall the wires and components in the reverse order of how you removed them. I recommend using some Dielectric Grease # 11755 to help protect the wiring inside the connector from water and dirt causing corrosion.
As an alternative the Hopkins Universal Mounting Bracket # HM48625 can be used in place of the Curt as it has a slit that will allow you to bend it enough to get the wires in without having to remove any of your wiring.
