Expert Reply:
The Custom Third Brake Light Camera for Aftermarket Monitor, part # 3460003, that you referenced is designed to work with aftermarket monitors. It will not work with the factory monitor.
Instead, to use one that works with your 4.2" factory monitor, you will need to use part # 3460002. This one comes with a switch kit that installs by plugging into the factory plug behind your radio. The switch will allow you to choose the backup camera or the tailgate one.
If you have the 8" factory monitor, then you will need part # 3460001.
