Question:

what is the correct way to adjust this turnbuckle , my steps get jammed and wont cycle until I remove the two bolts on top steps.. sometimes I have to remove the motor and let it cycle then reinstall .. real pita. also, how do the steps know when down or up .. It sounds like you might need to set up the linkage # LC388220 properly so that it will allow your steps to function properly. I attached an install instruction sheet that shows how to install it properly. Try that and let me know if you are still having issues.
