Can I install a 5th Wheel Towing Kit/Hitch and still use a tonneau bedcover? I do not have the bed cover yet, so my options are open. If so, what recommendations do you have. It appears that depth of my truck bed is about 17inch before rails?

The Curt E16 5th Wheel Hitch w R16 Roller for Chevy/GMC Towing Prep Package - Slide Bar Jaw - 16,000lbs item # C16667 will drop right into your OEM puck system and has an adjustable height of 15-1/4 - 18-1/4 inches. This will allow you to leave your hitch in place and roll down your bedcover.
As for the Tonneau bedcover you have a few different options:
For a retractable cover I recommend the Pace Edwards Switchblade Retractable Hard Tonneau Cover - Aluminum and Vinyl - Black Item # 311-SWC95A17.
For a folding cover I recommend the BAKFlip MX4 Hard Tonneau Cover - Folding - Aluminum - Matte Finish Item # BAK48121.
For a roll up cover I recommend the TruXedo Pro X15 Soft Tonneau Cover - Roll Up - Polyester and Vinyl - Matte Black # TX1472001.
