How To Carry Bike Rack On 2021 Flagstaff Microlite 21FBRS

Question:

We have the Bike Bunk as shown on our 2013 21FBRS Microlite. We are getting a new 2021 21FBRS Microlite and would like to continue to use the Bike Bunk. Can it be modified to work with the newly designed curved front on the 2021 trailer? Im afraid that it will hit the curved window if we put it on like before.

Based on the picture you provided of your new 2021 Flagstaff Microlite 21FBRS your Stromberg Carlson Bike Bunk Trailer-Mounted Bike Rack Carrier for A-Frame Trailers - 2"-100 lbs # CC-275 will more than likely not work due to the bump out on the front of the trailer.

I would go ahead and try it, but if it does not work there are no modifications that would allow it to clear the window and not interfere with your tow vehicle.

Since Flagstaff lists that your 2021 21FBRS has a 2" receiver on the rear standard, your best bet would be installing the bike rack in that instead.

Keep in mind that the bike rack will need to be rated for use on the rear of a travel trailer, as a standard bike rack is not designed to handle the increased bouncing and could fail.

If your bike rack is not rated for use on the rear of a travel trailer I recommend the Swagman Dispatch Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 2" Hitches - Frame Mount # S44FR which is rated for use on a travel trailer and will accommodate two bikes weighing up to 45lbs each.
