Can I use the DL11004 with a Impact Driver on a boat trailer to load the boat. The boat is around 3500 lbs.

You may be able to use the Dutton-Lainson Hand Winch - Worm Gear - Hex Drive - 2,000 lbs # DL11004 you were looking at to load your 3500lb boat on your boat trailer, but it will come down to how long the winch distance is, and if your trailer has carpeted bunks or roller bunks.

The standard rule of the thumb is 2-to-1 boat to winch ratio which would mean the # DL11004 would work up with up to a 4000lb boat.

If you have roller bunks and are winching a short distance then the winch would work with up to 6000lb boat.

If you have wooden bunks with carpet and are winching a long distance the winch would need to match the weight of the boat.

Without knowing how long your boat or trailer is, I can say the # DL11004 will likely work, but if your trailer is long and you have wooden bunks then going with a heavier duty winch like the Dutton-Lainson Hand Winch - TUFFPLATE Finish - 2 Speed - Direct Drive - 3,200 lbs # DL15440.

The # DL11004 can be operated with an impact driver using a 5/8" socket, but the # DL15440 will require you to use the winch handle.

Both winches can use strap # DL24242.
