Question:
My 13 Quicksilver 6.0 has 4 wire trailer plug and a battery installed. I would like to change it to a 7 wire plug. Question: Does the #7 wire go direct to the positive post of the battery or where?

The 12-volt trailer feed, which is the pin that sits in the 1:00 position if you're looking at the front face of the 7-way connector on the vehicle is fed by the vehicle battery. If this connection isn't already made on the vehicle side, run a length of 10 gauge wire like # 10-1-1 which is sold by the foot from the 1:00 terminal to the vehicles positive battery terminal. You'll run that circuit through a 40 amp breaker like # 9510.
On the trailer side, you'll run the battery circuit from the socket in the 11:00 position as you're looking at the front of the plug directly to the positive post of the trailer battery. The trailer battery would ground to the trailer frame.
Since you don't have a 7-way currently installed, I'd recommend going with # 277-000141 which provides the 7-way for the trailer side, but also a weatherproof junction box to easily make all your wiring connections for an organized and professional looking installation.
I've linked to an install video for the trailer connector/junction box that you might find helpful.
