Kuat Hitch Adapter Compatibility
Updated 06/01/2021 | Published 05/29/2021 >
Question:
I had a 2” receiver put on because I saw that this existed and I had the 1 1/4” NV 2.0 from my previous car. As far as I can tell, this doesn’t look like it’s going to fit? I’m trying with the original 3/8” pin that came with my bike rack but there’s no way it’s going through there at any angle. The receiver is a draw tite receiver on a 2019 outback. Tried to upload a photo but it says it was unsuccessful. I can email if necessary?

The Kuat Bike Rack Shank Adapter - 1-1/4" to 2", part # D101, is compatible with all Kuat 1 1/4" bike hitch racks except for first generation Kuat NV bike racks. There is an easy way to determine if your Kuat NV is a first generation. If the pedal on your rack, the one that lowers the rack when it is installed on your vehicle, is anodized silver or anodized orange you have a first generation Kuat NV. If that pedal matches the powder coating instead, it is not first generation.
I have included a video review link below.
