Size of Bolt to Use with Backing Plate for Brophy D-Ring Tie Down Anchor

Since it doesnt come with hardware, what size carriage bolts do i need as far as diameter for the four holes. you only show the middle one as 5/8inch but Id like to know the 4 holes as the photo you show it appears the diameter is smaller than the d ring 5/8inch bolt. In the install video, you mentioned to drill a 1/2inch hole for the 5/8. Does that still hold true?

The holes of the backing plate part # BP1D are round so you wouldn't actually use a carriage bolt. Instead you'd use a standard nut and bolt. 5/8 inch diameter would work great.
