Question:

What is the thread pitch and size of the included threaded hitch pin for the Kuat Hi-Lo extender? Is this compatible with the etrailer Trailer Hitch Lock part number e99047 which is the equivalent of a M16x2? Id like to minimize the number of different key/lock combinations for my hitch accessories.

Kuat accessories, such as the Kuat Hi-Lo Hitch Extender - 2" Hitches - 7" or 10" Extension - 2-1/8" Rise/Drop # HL20B, use Kuat-specific threading for their threaded anti-rattle bolts. Kuat was not able to tell me the size of their brand-specific threading. The etrailer threaded hitch pin won't work; the Anti-Rattle Hitch Lock for Kuat Transfer Bike Racks - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches # HLT is going to be your best bet as this is the only confirmed fit for a locking threaded hitch pin for the Kuat Hi-Lo Extender.

Since you were wanting to use the Etrailer lock, I am assuming you have an accessory with an Etrailer lock already. If so, you could just use the etrailer Cable Lock - 10' Long - 5/16" Diameter - Steel - Keyed Alike # e98891 to secure your accessory to the hitch receiver; this can be keyed alike to match your current etrailer locks.
