Is there a difference between a carrier air v and a carrier air v hc.

The short answer to this is- No; there's not going to be a difference between the two when it comes to replacements or installations and these units will use the same type of harnesses to install.

It looks like the Carrier AirV and AirV HC are variations of the same Carrier air conditioners and they'll all use the same wiring and installation, they just have slightly different features. These are older units but you will want to use the Advent # ACCAR150 to replace either one in this case.
