We do have the correct electric trailer brakes that will fit your Dexter 8-285 hub and drum, which is a 12-1/4 inch drum. You can choose from the following two options, both of which will work for you:
- Electric Trailer Brake Kit with Dust Shields - Self-Adjusting # AKEBRK-8
- Dexter Electric Trailer Brake Kit - Self-Adjusting # 23-434-435
Along with these brakes, the only other thing you will need is their mounting hardware, the Mounting Bolts and Hardware for 12-1/4" Brake Assemblies # BRKH122508.
