Is Custom Wedge for Curt A16 Fifth Wheel Hitch Better than Universal Wedge

Question:

Hello, I currently have the universal wedge installed instead of the custom curtis wedge for the reese sidewinder. Do i need to buy the https://www.etrailer.com/p-C16992.html wedge if I was able to hitch up with the universal wedge? What is the reason I would need this, trying to understand. If you have the universal wedge installed currently and you are happy with how it fits the hitch and the ease of connection to your hitch when hitching up then you are totally fine to stay with what you have now. If you want something that is going to probably fit a bit tighter to the hitch head which would translate into less noise when travelling and also might be a little easier to hitch up to then the custom wedge part # C16992 would be a worthwhile upgrade.
