Question:
I have a 1999 ford escort WAGON and I would like to know if the quick connect part #C55344 would fit my wagon? thanks

Expert Reply:
Because the 1999 Escort Wagon uses a separate bulb for the turn signals, and would need a taillight converter, the # C55344 would not be compatible with your Escort wagon.
To combine the brake light and turn signal onto a single circuit like the lights on the trailer, you will need to use a hardwired tail light converter like the # 119178KIT.
The wires on the input side of the converter would wire directly into the taillight circuits of your Escort wagon. The easiest way to access the circuits is at the rear of the tail light assemblies.
I have linked you to an install video and wiring FAQ you might find helpful. The video shows the converter being installed on a different vehicle, but the process shown would be similar to your install.
