Can A Thule Roof Cargo Box Be Installed Onto A Rhino-Rack Pioneer Platform Rack?

Question:
Is it possible to mount a Thule Force XT L Roof Box to the Rhino Rack Pioneer roof rack platform? I would like the flexibility of using the box with the rack on. I measure the max point-to-point opening on the Thule mount arms to be 3.5inch and about 1.5inch long but only ~1.25inch clearance when closed.

In order to do so, you will need to add Rhino-Rack Accessory Bars for Pioneer Platform Rack - 48" Long - Aero Bars # RR43137B. This adds an aero crossbar setup to your Rhino-Rack Platform Rack to allow for accessories like the Thule roof box to be installed onto.
