Question:
Hello I am interested in item #PLR 185 hood latch. with mounting bracket, I believe that to mean the lower part connected to the latch. Am I correct on that? If that is the case , a keeperinch is necessary to actually hold the hood in place, correct? So, which keeper is appropriate for #185? Thanks

The keeper is not included with the Hood Latch with Mounting Bracket - Vertical Mount # PLR185, but you can use the # PLR281 as the keeper for this latch; this was the one you were looking at-so you were on the right track.
The hardware (bolts and nuts) are not included as most people simply re-use their existing hardware. For a similar kit that includes both the keepers and the hardware, you can use Bestop Replacement Hood Latch for Jeep Wrangler 1941-1995 # B5129100 (chrome) or # # B5129101 (black).
