We recommend using the Ball Mount 3/4 inch Rise or 2 inch Drop,10,000 lbs, part # AMSC2, with your 2005 Ford Escape. This will give you the correct rise or drop for a trailer coupler that sits at 17 inches from the ground when level. In order to tow, you will need the hitch, ballmount, pin & clip, hitch ball, and wiring harness. I would be happy to recommend these parts for you. What size coupler do you have? Does your Escape have the wiring tow package?
