Question:

will the older Hullavator 897XT work with the new thule wing bar evo? does it require any kind of adapter? thank you

I consulted with my contact at Thule, and he informed me that the fit of the Thule WingBar Evo # TH711400 and the older Hullavator 897XT has not been confirmed to fit due to the style of the new bars. However, my contact did say that the Thule Aeroblame Shim # 85233900001 and the Screw MC6S M6X37 # 1500056000 is the closest bet to ensure that they fit together. These parts are only available on the thule.com website.

However, we do have the Thule Hullavator Pro Kayak Carrier and Lift Assist with Tie-Downs # TH898 that are a guaranteed fit with Thule WingBar Evo Crossbars # TH711400. There is no required adapter for this setup.
