Question:
With the Rage PowerSport Aluminum Motorcycle Carrier for 2inch Hitch Receiver - 400 lb model AMC400, and a 250-275 lbs dirt bike, do you think this hitch would have any issues? Any other concerns with carrying a dirt bike on the front? 2007 Ram 2500.

Expert Reply:
You certainly would have enough capacity to carry a Rage PowerSport Motorcycle Carrier # AMC400 and a 275 lb motorcycle with the Curt Hitch # C31017 since the weight of those two items weigh 315 lbs and the hitch has the capacity of 350 lbs. You will still need to determine what your front axle capacity is and be sure not to exceed this figure also.
The biggest problem you might have would be that the headlights would be blocked, as well as your turn signals. But you also have to consider that it might block airflow from getting to your radiator and could block your vision. I would consult your local laws and regulations on carrying motorcycles on the front to make sure that it would be legal for you to do so before you attempt to do it.
