Question:
Hi I hope you are well. I had the factory installed 4 way with hitch on my 2020 highlander. I have confirmed from the dealer this was installed and working properly. Mechanic has installed 7 way converter but when I the echo wireless brake controller the led light doesn’t come on. Is there something else I am missing in my install to get my 7 way and wireless brake controller to work? Thanks!

For the Curt Echo Wireless Trailer Brake Controller # C51180 to work it needs the 12v power circuit of the 7-way connector to be active.
Do you happen to know if the Mechanic ran a power wire from the 7-way connector to the battery of your 2020 Toyota Highlander? If he did not then the 12v power circuit will not be active as it is not part of the factory 4-way connector.
You would need to use # 10-1-1 to go from the 7-way to the positive terminal of your vehicle's battery with a 30 amp circuit breaker # PK54230. You will need to use three of the # DW05705-1, but I recommend taking it back to the mechanic and having him activate this circuit for you.
I included a video of the # C51180 for you to take a look at.
