Question:
I bought this for a 2005 Chevy Express Van. It installed fine but the pin I had for my old van is too big to fit into this bar. What size pin is needed? I am talking about the single pin that attaches this bar to the trailer hitch.

Expert Reply:
The Curt # 13040 takes a standard 5/8" hitch pin, so if you just need a standard hitch pin and clip without a lock you can use the Hitch Pin and Clip for 2" Hitches - 5/8" Diameter x 2-7/8" Span # 37201074. If you're looking for a locking hitch pin then I recommend using the etrailer Hitch Receiver Lock for 2" and 2-1/2" Hitches - Flush - 3-5/8" Span - Chrome # e98881.
