Question:

I have a 2020 Grand Design 303 RLS. There is an awning that goes over the entrance door and one on the slide-out. When the slide-out is out, and you put out the awning over the entrance door, there is very little clearance between the slide-out and awning over the entrance door. How do you install a slide topper on the slide-out without hitting or interfering with the awning over the entrance door. And where would mount the slide topper on the slide-out with an awning on it?

Thanks for the photo, and if there isn't the needed clearance, you need to get the slide topper the next size down that won't interfere. For example, if you normally would get the 79 inch wide Solera RV Slide-Out Awning # LCV000168105, but it was a couple of inches too wide, you would go with the next size down, which is the 73 inch Solera RV Slide-Out Awning # LCV000165063.

This may not cover your full slide-out, but it would still cover the majority, and would be the only way for installation since there would otherwise be interference. I have added links below to a video review as well as our selection of slide toppers for you to check out so you can find the right length.

In regards to adding a slide topper even though you have an awning, often times that is not possible, as it looks in your case. Reason is, there needs to be 4 inches of room below the trim flange for the brackets at the top of the slide, and your awning looks to be at the very top of the slide, blocking the install.
