You've wrestled stiff cables, crouched in the cold, trying to force plugs that just wouldn't fit. This cord makes setup simple. One firm push to connect, convenient one-handed release, and you're ready to move on.
You've done this enough times to know what works and what just slows you down. You won't be fighting with the connection. Just line it up, push it in, and it locks tight. The angled head sits close to your RV to prevent strain and stays clear of foot traffic. And when it's time to pack up, the 30' cable coils flat and fits easily into your storage space. Everything about it is built to streamline your routine.

Hi, everyone. Steve here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look together at the SmartPlug angled RV power cord. It's a 30 amp, 30-foot long cord. And folks, let me tell you, this is an impressive new design, new product. It delivers consistent, reliable power for RV shore hookup.
So starting off with the main connection here, you got everything here, you got a nice little flip up tab. How cool is that, right Now you can pull this out and even push it in with ease. So that's the first thing I like about this. 30 feet long. This cable actually is really, really coil resistant, meaning I can twist it any way, it's gonna go right back.
It's a soft coil. And what's cool about this new design is you got these spring-loaded tabs here. They are grabbing the matching connection. So you must have this SmartPlug connection that mates up with this on the other side of the connection out, you know, coming out the back of the RV camper. And you could purchase that separately here.
No need to worry about drilling or cutting things. It's gonna go right into the spot where your old one is with just a little bit of some hardware, you know, swapping out the old with the new. So again, this is a great design coming from the top down. You can see the difference here compared to the other stuff out there. And again, these spring-loaded tabs on both sides are going to grab and lock into place on the cover.
And it even has some slots up here for the cover that this matches up with. It's gonna come down and lock into place. So it's almost got three to four different locked things that are gonna keep it in place. So very impressive, again. And then whenever you're not using it, they do come with a automatic kinda cover here. (plastic clicks) You just heard it click in place. That's exactly what you're gonna hear when you hook this up to the RV camper side. So it makes unplugging quick and easy. You can literally do with just one hand. Simple push and pull, and then to connect, push it in. And then again, you got the flip up T-handle here on the 30 amp connector. Voltage rated for 125 volts. Again, this is the short end and then the RV end. So you have everything here. It's a heavy duty, jacketed, weather resistant rubber construction. And folks, that will wrap it up for our quick look together. I'm Steven. Thanks for watching. Have a great day.
Had what I needed and the price was comparable to other sources.
I'm giving this Smartplug cord and the Smartplug male trailer wall socket a 4-star rating, but not because the product isn't EXCELLENT. IT IS! On this 2-week camping outing, we have nearly lost our 37-ft. Rockwood Signature travel trailer TWICE to fire, due to the common, everyday 'Twist LOC" RV socket and matching cord overheating while operating our 50-amp trailer on 30 amps (coming between 2-3 amps of 30 amps, but not OVER 30 amps.) The standard 50 amp female power cord end and male plug installed into the side of the trailer MELTED while running on 30-amp service, drawing 26 to 28 amps continuous when both A/Cs were cycled on at the same time. Neither the cord itself nor the trailer's power feed cable ever got hot--ONLY THE CONNECTION where the power cord and trailer plug MEET. It nearly started a fire in the rear wall of our trailer. Melted wall insulation, charred the edges of the fiberglass siding and nearly burned the underlayment underneath the skin. Fortunately, it was NOT a wood product. Both the female cord end and the wall connector plug were melted and charred. Both were replaced by the mobile RV tech who does all of our RV work (I am disabled.) The new cord and trailer plug then melted again 24 hours later. I ordered this Smartplug cord and trailer plug from etrailer and got it in 4 days. Since new Smartplug cord & plug were installed, I am still pulling 25-28 amps when both A/C compressors are running, but I can feel very little heat on the outside or inside (where the trailer wiring is run into the wall), and the highest temperature I've recorded with the laser temperature gun is 102.5 degrees (high air temperature has been 95 degrees). PROBLEM SOLVED!! The only reason I gave these Smartplug items 4 stars is because of their COST!! The 30ft. Smartplug trailer cord and accompanying male trailer wall socket cost me $718!!! That's pretty close to RIDICULOUS!! They DID, however, SOLVE MY OVERHEATING WIRING CONNECTION PROBLEM!! Read the Smartplug ads and watch their YouTube video from etrailer (can be reached on etrailer's website). THEY AREN'T LYING!! Smartplug saved our very expensive RV!!
The angled head makes this really a great power cord. All the difference in crowded spaces, even if it’s just me moving around the trailer.
I thought not having to bend my smart plug power cable in my little power compartment on my airstream atlas would be a good thing so I purchased the angled power cord. It is a bit more difficult to put it into my compartment and is a struggle to close the little plastic compartment door around it. Tine will tell if not having to bend the power cable prolongs the life or not. At this point, I would not repurchase knowing what I know now.
Same thing applies to the 2nd item ordered. Exceptional delivery time is greatly appreciated

I am sorry to hear that the angled chord did not make storing it any easier. I am sure not having to force a bend in the chord is going to help its life span. How is the actual chord working for you?
