Would highly recommend that anyone who has a cheap 30amp shore power connector and cord replace with the SmartPlug. It's a much more secure connection.

Exactly as described and works better than I hoped. My first shore power plug and cable and the Smart Plug is definately the way to go.

5 seasons back -our 30A twist lock failed & almost melted the plug. Used a SmartPlug combo kit to save the cord. Sold that camper, converted it back & gave my buyer the twist lock cord for the new camper. Kept my 30’ SmartPlug cord & converted the NEW camper.

Six seasons later & 300+ nites at camp that cord is still has a solid connect & in fair shape, but spotted the 30’ angled twist lock with a power indicator. Yeah it is pricey, but a long term investment with a decent warranty. Get one !

I purchased this product out of necessity. Old twist on collar had been difficult to get tight enough and cross threaded easily when starting. Had enough. Camping is supposed to be fun, not a start with a few expletives that would make a preacher blush. Although we haven’t used it on a trip as of yet, we do have it connected at home. It is so nice to just plug in and be done. Highly recommended!!

I thought not having to bend my smart plug power cable in my little power compartment on my airstream atlas would be a good thing so I purchased the angled power cord. It is a bit more difficult to put it into my compartment and is a struggle to close the little plastic compartment door around it. Tine will tell if not having to bend the power cable prolongs the life or not. At this point, I would not repurchase knowing what I know now.

    Hi John, Sadly SmartPlug does not offer the female end of the SM22YB as a separate replacement part. If that end is damaged, the complete SmartPlug Angled RV Power Cord, part # SM22YB, would need to be replaced. The cord does come with a 1 year limited warranty, so depending on what happened to the connector, it may be worth looking into that as well. What happened to the female end of your plug? If you can send me a photo of the damage, I would be happy to take a look.
