Determining How To Wire New Trailer Lights To Trailer With 4-way Connector

Question:
My lights have yellow, white, red and black. My plug has green, yellow, brown and white. How do these wires connect? Yellow to yellow, white to white, black and brown, red to green is how I have it for now.

It really comes down to identifying the functions of the light.
The plug you have has the following functions:
Green wire is the passenger side turn signal
Yellow wire is the driver side turn signal
Brown is the tail light
White wire is the ground
To identify the functions of your current lights I recommend using a 12v battery and connecting the white wire to the negative terminal of the battery, and then one by one try the red, black, and yellow wires. Once you know the functions of each wire you can make the connections to the correct wires of your 4-way connector.
