What is the best breakaway kit for 3500lb trailers? Do I need a different one for a 2.2k axle and a 3.5k axle?

The capacity of the axle does not affect the application but the number of axles would since there would be more magnets that would need to be activated. The battery of this kit would allow it to work well on single and tandem axle trailers regardless of capacity so it would be a really great choice for a 3,500 lb trailer like you asked about.
