I pull a 3,500 lb travel trailer! Will this eliminate the slop and rattle? Thanks

Yes. You can use the Malone Anti-Rattle Hitch Lock System # MPG908 to help reduce/eliminate rattle between your receiver and ball mount when towing your travel trailer. With that said, my preferred solution for this is the Roadmaster Quiet Hitch # RM-061 because it's a little more sturdy. Roadmaster builds parts specifically for towing and they've got some of the highest quality parts on the market for this solution; just check out all of the 5 star reviews on the Quiet Hitch.
