Can Roadmaster Quiet Hitch RM-061 Anti-Rattle Device be Installed Upside Down

I have a 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee with factory tow package, and the chain loops interfere with the u-bolt of the anti-rattle device. It is safe and still effective to mount the anti-rattle device upside down with the nuts facing towards the ground?

Yes, it is perfectly safe to install the Roadmaster Quiet Hitch # RM-061 anti-rattle device either way, with the nuts facing up or down. The only aspect that is critical to the fit of this item on a 2-inch hitch is that the end of the receiver tube must have a reinforcing ring or collar around it for the Quiet Hitch to attach properly.
