Question:
I have a 06 dodge Dakota and I just bought a curt custom wiring harness for and put it on but it keeps popping my driver side running fuse even when the Trailer not connected

Expert Reply:
The reason the Curt Custom Vehicle Wiring Harness you purchased is blowing a running light fuse is there is a short somewhere on the running light circuit.
I recommend thoroughly checking the brown wire on the connector back to the connectors on your 2006 Dodge Dakota looking for any spots where the wire is showing that could short, or for any other damaged sections of wire.
Any damaged spots will need to be replaced by splicing in # 16-1-1.
I included a link to a helpful article on wiring for you to take a look at.
