Question:

I have a drawtite 16k slider hitch from 2004. Sold my old truck for a 2019 Ram 2500 big horn. What are the correct base rail mounting plates and brackets that I need.

If your 2019 Ram 2500 truck has the tow/prep package with the pucks in the bed, you could install your older industry-standard rail compatible Draw-Tite 16K slider using the # RP30154. The adapter would install into the pucks and provide industry standard bed rails compatible with your hitch.

If you don't have the puck system, I'd recommend the Reese # RP30035-522 bracket/rail kit you'd looked at. The kit is compatible with vehicles equipped with overload springs and the factory air suspension, so if your truck is so equipped, (or even if it isn't) this kit would work great for you.

If you'd like to install a 7-way trailer connector in the truck bed so you don't have to run the trailer connector cable up over the tailgate, you can install one using part # 41157
