Will the Dexter 10" Nev-R-Adjust Electric Trailer Brake Kit Work With 2-1/2" Wide Hubs

Question:
Hello I was wondering if you could tell me if I can use my existing reliable HD-1000 10 brake drums with Dexter electric brakes 23-468-469 Trailer is an easy loader with #84 spindle. Wheels are bolt-on versus studs but the bolts dont appear to extend past the machined face on the inside of the drum. Also when measuring the brake pad surface it measures 2.5 rather than 2.25. Is that normal for a 2.25 drum? Thanks!

The Dexter Nev-R-Adjust Electric Trailer Brake Kit part # 23-468-469 is an electric braking assembly that measures 10" x 2-1/4". In order to confirm the correct hub you'd need to measure inside the drum where the pads ride. I have attached a photo below. The hub/drum should measure 10" x 2-1/2".
