Can Reese Strait-Line Weight Distribution Hitch Upgrade From 800 lbs Bars to 1,200 lb Bars

Question:
I have a 10k Reese straight-line hitch with 800 lbs. torsion bars. I want to upgrade my camper but the tongue weight is higher than 800. Can I just buy new torsion bars with a 1200lbs capacity if my hitch still is adequate in size for my new trailer? Thanks

Yep, you can absolutely just upgrade the 800 lb trunnion bars to 1,200 lb bars on your Reese Strait-Line weight distribution hitch and not have to get any parts. All you will need are two of the following:
- Replacement Trunnion Spring Bar for Reese Weight Distribution System - 1,200 lbs TW # RP66009
