Question:

I have a 27foot trailer with a tongue weight when loaded of 740lbs. Can I use the 1500lb trunnion spring bar RP58369 for this or do I need to use the 1200lb RP66009 for an upgrade? I am currently using the 800lb TW trunnion bars. Thanks

Since your loaded tongue weight is only 740 lbs you want to go with the 1,200 lb bar, part # RP66009, as this gives you a tongue weight range of 600 lbs - 1,200 lbs which is more than enough for your towing setup.

If you went with the 1,500 lb bar # RP58369 it would give you a tongue weight range of 1,000 lbs - 1,500 lbs so the weight distribution system would be too strong unless you plan on loading at least 260 lbs of cargo behind the rear axle of your tow vehicle.
