For a 2013 Ford F-150 short bed crew cab the correct Curt 5th wheel trailer hitch installation kit is # C16441-204. The kit that you referenced does not fit the 2013 model year. I have included a link to the installation instructions to the kit that does fit your truck.

For a short bed truck you are going to want to use a slider hitch. The Curt rails will accept a Curt, Draw-Tite, Hidden Hitch, Reese, Valley or Husky 5th wheel hitch. I have included a link to the hitch and installation kit options for your truck for you to view.
