My boss has a 2009 Subaru Forester and I need to know what base kit is needed for the RM-501 tow-bar? thanks

Although the owner's manual I found online makes no mention of it, in the online forums I found many instances of folks with manual transmission equipped 2009 Foresters who flat tow their vehicles without problem.
For a # RM-501 Roadmaster Stowmaster compatible base plate, you'll want to use the Roadmaster # 921-1 base plate.
In addition to the tow bar and base plates you'll also need safety cables like # RM-643, a taillight wiring harness like # RM-15247 and a supplemental braking system like the Blue Ox Patriot # BLU37TR would be needed.
