Recommended Suspension Enhancement For 2015 Ram 2500 With Factory Air Suspension

Question:

Currently own 2015 Ram 2500 w air suspension. Curb weight is 7500#. Purchasing new 5th wheel with 2000# on pin dry not incl hitch. Pushing max 10,000# gvw. Rear air suspension cuts out once truck is at 10,000#. Short of upgrading to 3500, what are options to work in conjunction with current air suspension?

Since your 2015 Ram 2500 has the factory air suspension I recommend the SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs # SSR-312-54 as they are confirmed to work with the factory air suspension system, and will offer 2800lbs of support to your suspension. The best part about the # SSR-312-54 is that it will not negatively effect the loaded or unloaded ride like the Timbren options.

Keep in mind that any suspension enhancement options are meant to support your suspension, and will not increase the carrying capacity. If you find that with your 5th wheel trailer loaded and your hitch installed you exceed the 10000lb GVWR you mentioned, the only option will be to step up to a truck with a higher rating.
