Question:
I’m looking to purchase a hitch swingarm either a Thule or Kuat for a 2016 Ram Promaster. I want to be able to open the back doors WITHOUT having to open the swingarm if my bike rack is not attached. Will either of these allow this? Thanks

Expert Reply:
From the hitch pin of the Thule # TH9037 to the very top measures 4.3 inches and for the Kuat # PVP20B the same dimension is 5-3/16 inches so it would have a little less rear door clearance.
